The Adidas 2014 Gauntlet hosted its second stop on its tour, May 16-18, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mass Rivals 17U squad continued its dominance, finishing the weekend 4-1. HEA alumni Chris Baldwin and Justin Stewart both contributed to the teams success throughout the event.
Chris Baldwin has been a steady presence in the front court of the Mass Rivals, starting all five games. Baldwin had his best game statistically, when he finished with 9 points and 3 rebounds against Kansas Pray and Play. Baldwin continues to play with an increased level of athleticism and energy for the high scoring Mass Rivals.
Justin Stewart saw action in all 5 games, including a 5 point performance against Kansas Pray and Play, where he contributed 14 minutes off the bench. Stewart has shown the ability to consistently shoot with deep range, and does not turn the ball over.
Tyonne Malone, Eric D’Aguanno and the Mass Rivals 16U squad had a strong showing in Indianapolis, advancing from pool play with a 1-1 record to the 2nd place semifinal game.
